Quadro Communications Co-operative Inc. and Gosfield North Communications Co-operative Ltd. Announce Successful Amalgamation 

 [Kirkton, ON, December 12, 2024] – Quadro Communications Co-operative Inc. and Gosfield North Communications Co-operative Ltd. are pleased to announce that their members have overwhelmingly voted in favour of amalgamation.

It marks the beginning of a new chapter, building a stronger future for our members and the communities we serve,” says Darryl Evans, General Manager of Quadro Communications. “With this amalgamation, we bring together two community-based telecoms, enabling us to combine resources, expand offerings, and improve service for all members.” 

The amalgamation represents an important step forward, offering significant benefits and new opportunities to enhance the services and support available to all their members.

In the next few months, Quadro and Gosfield North will work diligently to complete the integration process. During this time, members will receive regular updates via email, on their websites, and other communication channels, all while continuing to enjoy the same friendly, reliable service without any interruptions.

Gosfield North Communications Co-operative Ltd., established in 1907 in Essex County, was founded by local politicians and community leaders to provide phone services to the municipality. Gosfield North offers internet, IPTV, and residential phone services to both residential and business customers.  

As co-operatives, both companies are member owned, with all customers having the opportunity to become members for a minimal fee. Members actively participate in the governance of the co-operative through the election of the Board of Directors. At Quadro and Gosfield North, members have a voice, and the commitment to their well-being extends beyond the provision of products and services. It also encompasses the betterment of their local communities.
