Quadro is a Living Wage Employer

KIRKTON, ON – Quadro Communications Co-Operative is proud to become the latest Certified Living Wage Employer at the Champion level for Perth and Huron Counties.
“Becoming a Certified Living Wage Employer was a no brainer for Quadro,” says Sales & Marketing Manager, Shannon Smith. “Quadro strives to bring an exceptional experience to our customers and we feel that starts with our employees.”
Quadro is committed to the health and well-being of all its employees. Not only does this type of pledge make their employees feel valued, it also gives back to the communities they serve.
Calculated annually by the United Way Perth-Huron’s Social Research and Planning Council, the Living Wage is a calculation based on the living expenses of a family of four with both adults working full-time for 35 hours a week, once government transfers and deductions are taken into account. Everyday expenses included in the calculation are food, housing, utilities, childcare and transportation. Perth-Huron Counties’ Living Wage is $17.55 per hour. “Quadro Communications is taking a big step for the Living Wage movement in our communities,” says Social Research and Planning Council Director Susanna Reid. “The Living Wage is about the employees and employers daily wellbeing. Employers benefit by have reduced costs from turn over. Our communities benefit when its citizens are financially able to participate in the local economy. We are excited to have Quadro join the Living Wage movement.”
